Plant a Tree on The Howe

Would you like to plant a tree* on The Howe and help biodiversity in Wheatley?

Plant a Sapling

Planting native species such as Cherry Plum, Bird Cherry, Hazel, Rowan, Silver Birch, Crab Apple, Whitebeam, and Alder can really help our wildlife. Each 90-120cm bareroot sapling, with a cane and tree guard (to protect it from rabbits and deer) costs £5. Like to join in? We’re taking advance orders now.
*If you are unable to plant your tree yourself, for whatever reason, then you can choose to have this done for you by one of our volunteers.

‘Adopt an English Oak’

We are also hoping to plant a small number of much larger, specimen trees – and we’d like to give the opportunity to individuals, groups, organisations or local companies to ‘Adopt an English Oak’.

A £175 donation will cover cost of the tree plus the labour and materials to protect it. For an additional £75 we can also arrange for your tree to have a personalised brass plaque with your name and a short message.

We are taking advance sapling and oak tree orders now until end August for planting in November.
